This nice lady was walking by the Harinam party and stopped to listen to the kirtan. She was enamored by Rama Raya prabhu’s ecstatic kirtan and watched for about ten minutes then took an “On chanting Hare Krishna” pamphlet. The Harinam party was set up in a different spot further into the subway area and Gopal Champu prabhu and myself were distributing books in the shopping mall area next to the stores. Then somehow Krishna directed this lady to us to get some books! When she saw me she said that she just heard some of the chanting in the subway and asked me if we have any books to offer! I said of course and I showed her our set and told her that she has to take these amazing spiritual books because she’s a cultured lady and she will definitely love this great knowledge. She wasn’t sure about taking the entire set at first but I told her that it’s a lifetime investment in her spiritual life and that’s it worth it for the price that we’re asking. I continued explaining that in bookstores like Barnes and Noble this many books would cost so much more but we’re offering her a special discount price practically just to cover the cost of printing and shipping. She said ok and gave a very generous donation so I also gave her the Lilamrita as an extra gift.
