Nice businessman named Adebayo from the Bronx. He told me his father gave him an African name but he didn’t tell me what it means. I was talking to a gentleman who didn’t end up taking a book and he happened to walk by, saw me with the books then asked what the books are all about. I told him that these books help distinguish reality from illusion and will guide us to a better understanding of how to live a spiritual life even while we’re in the material world. He asked me how I got involved in Krishna consciousness, I told him that I got a copy of the Bhagavad Gita and even though I was materially well off, spiritually I was feeling a void in my life. He told me that he understands because he’s exactly in that same place in his life right now and really needs these kind of books to give him some spiritual direction and guidance and he really wants to get the knowledge in order to feel more hopeful for his future. I invited him to our ashram for our Sunday feast program and he enthusiastically said he will visit this coming Sunday for sure.
