Nate is a friend of a friend of mine. He’s actually living in my friends old apartment. He’s a practicing Buddhist and daily chants “Namu Myōhō Renge Kyō” which is the central mantra chanted within all forms of Nichiren Buddhism.
He goes to gatherings at an uptown Buddhist center twice a month and does volunteer service as well as group meditations. He was recently living in Dublin, Ireland and met some Hare Krishna’s and spent some time with them on and off. He likes to read the “Lotus Sutra” and it inspires him.
He was having some health problems with kidney failure and began praying regularly then he received a kidney transplant quickly even though it sometimes takes many years! He believes in a higher power and he’s really excited to start reading the books.
