Anil Mahabal from Guyana!
While doing our walking Harinam in Times Square I spoke to him. After he told me his name is Mahabal (great strength) I said: “wow you must be very strong because you eat a lot of Rothi and Dahl everyday! Please take a look at our book set about Krishna. My Gurumaharaja loves it when someone takes a set from us. It’s a blessing for your entire family!”

Krishna prasad prabhu recalls:
Nice Bengali family on vacation in New York City for a week. They were so happy to see the Harinam party and hear the kirtan. I went up to them with our set and told them how Lord Chaitanya’s mercy has been flowing in New York in the form of these wonderful books about Krishna. I explained that if they get this set of Srila Prabhupada’s books they can also help spread the mercy of Lord Chaitanya back in their home town. They were very humble and pious and wanted to support us so they gave a generous donation and they will take the set back to Bengal with them in a few days.

This family is going back to Godhead!

Really nice guy who came up to the book table and spoke with Ananda prabhu first about getting a book but he said he has to get some cash and he will come back. A little while later he came back and I got to talk to him. When he told me he spoke with Ananda earlier I immediately showed him our set and said: “I’m a disciple of Bhakti Vikas swami and I give you my guarantee that these books will give you the greatest ecstacy!” He asked me if that was for real and I told him of course these are the greatest books on spiritual knowledge anywhere. He told me he can only afford to give around $20 but I asked him to give another $20 at least. After giving the donation he told me that I wiped him clean so I told him not to worry I wiped him clean for Krishna! He laughed then I gave him a prasadam cookie and took his number to send him our info for the Sunday feast program.

Friendly group of ladies from Quebec Canada. I stopped them and showed them our set. I told them how much I love Canada because the people are very friendly and nice. I spoke a few words in French to them: “oui oui Bonjour je m’appel Mahotsaha das!” (Hi my name is Mahotsaha das)
One of the ladies was very interested in getting some books so I put the set in her hands and smiled. She was telling me that her husband loves spiritual books like anything especially in English. So I asked her to please take this set of books for her husband and it will be the greatest gift she ever gives him in his whole life!

Really nice friendly lady originally from Jamaica but has been living in New York for quite a few years now.
When I spoke with her she told me that she’s seen the Harinam in Union square park a few times before and was always curious what we’re all about. Today she finally stopped and asked me some questions. I showed her our set and gave a general explanation of the books like Karma, reincarnation, Bhakti yoga and Hare Krishna mantra meditation.
I realized after meeting her that by the presence of the daily Harinam she got some purification then got the chance to get the books. It’s good to be out every day otherwise once a month Harinam or even once a week people quickly forget about you but daily Harinam definitely makes a strong impression.

Really nice ladies one is from Guadalajara Mexico and the other has been living in New York for many years.
The lady who got the set has been practicing yoga for the last 24 years. I told her that’s why she has such a good vibration and peaceful energy.
She’s heard of the Bhagavad Gita before and has always wanted to read it. I showed her our set and she was very confident about getting the books. She volunteered to give a donation on her own actually so it was pretty straight forward and she was really ready to receive the knowledge.

John from Bay Ridge.
He walked up to the book table and spoke with Krishna Kripa prabhu for a little bit and gave a donation for a “Bhagavad Gita as it is” Then I started talking to him and he was expressing how much he likes to read spiritual books. I complimented him on his nice necklace which looked like Tulasi but I don’t think it was. He said that his girlfriend gave it to him as a gift and I asked him if she’s spiritual and he told me she was. I showed him our set and told him that he could share this wonderful set with her. I explained that it’s so rare to meet people like him who are really looking for genuine spiritual life. I explained how many great minds like Albert Einstein have read these books for inspiration. He’s a really nice guy and gave a nice donation for the set and he’s also planning to visit for our Sunday feast program.
