Very
nice gentleman named Kendall who came by to visit our Sunday feast
program today. This is the third time he comes to attend the Sunday
feast! He actually met bhakta Chaitanya about a month ago in Piedmont
park and bought a “Saptarishi” set from
him. He really likes the Krishna conscious philosophy and after the
class today Mahotsaha prabhu made an announcement about the book table
and Srila Prabhupada’s books being available for sale. So I started
speaking to Kendall a little bit and told him that if he already has a
“Sapta”’set he should consider getting a “Srimad Bhagavatam” set because
he‘s a sincere and intelligent seeker of spiritual knowledge. I
explained to him that the Bhagavatam is the cream of all the spiritual
scriptures in the world, the king of all knowledge and the essence of
all religion. It establishes the highest truth which is reality
distinguished from illusion and kicks out all cheating religion. I also
told him that it’s the desire of my spiritual master that every
respectable gentleman and lady have a set in their home so I asked him
to please get a set because it will make him spiritually happy. We sat
down and honored some prasadam together then afterwards he told me that
he’s ready for the Bhagavatam set and gave me a donation and took the
set home with him in his car!

This
nice young lady named Aigul from Eastern Europe now living in Brooklyn
enthusiastically came up to the book table yesterday. The devotee
sitting at the book table called me over from the back of the Harinam
because she had a special question! She immediately just asked if we have “Srimad Bhagavatam” sets and I told her of course we have!
Apparently
after reading the reviews on Amazon about the Srimad Bhagavatam she
became intent on acquiring a set because as she told me: “she wants the
full spiritual knowledge.”
So we arranged for her to
come and pick it up in person today at Radha Govinda mandir in Brooklyn.
She mentioned that she tried to get a copy of the “Bhagavad Gita As It
Is” from Amazon but she got the wrong one instead. So I naturally also
added a copy of the “Bhagavad Gita As It Is” plus she got to have
darshan of Sri Sri Radha Govinda!
Krishna knows that I don’t really approach people for book distribution so He made this one really simple and sublime!
This is Ben. He’s a 20 year old student in Atlanta, Georgia. He recently attended the Sunday feast program at the Yuga dharma ashram after receiving a “Saptarishi” set from KrIshna prasad prabhu in Piedmont park. After he started reading Srila Prabhupada’s “Bhagavad Gita as it is” he wanted to get some japa beads for chanting “Hare Krishna!” So he got in touch with us and we invited him to drop by the ashram for the morning Srimad Bhagavatam class to collect the beads. He stayed for the entire class then right after the class he ended purchasing a brand new “Srimad Bhagavatam” set as well.
