Really nice lady named Natalie from upstate New York. She was on her way to catch a train back home. When I first saw her I told her that I love her energy. It’s true because she looked very peaceful compared to the other people running to catch their trains during rush hour. She told me that she actually met us before in Union square park a few summers ago but never got a book somehow. She attends “sacred sound” interfaith meetings in the lower East side of Manhattan regularly and they often do kirtans at those programs. She told me she loves the chanting and finds it very calming. She’s also a true to heart book worm who loves reading so I showed her our set and told her that this the most complete collection of spiritual knowledge meant to help us break free from the cycle of birth and death and I showed her the picture in the Gita with the changing bodies. She was saying that her birthday is on the same day as Mahatma Gandhi so I mentioned how he was always reading the Gita during his political career to get spiritual guidance and inspiration. She happily gave me the donation when I asked her for it and told me she looks forward to start reading the books tonight!
