Very nice devotee named Ramesh that I met on Harinam in the New York City subway about a year ago. He told me that he’s from Alabama and he’s just passing through New York for a few days but he would like to keep in touch in case he wants some books in the future! I’ve been going through my contact list because we’re only able to do book distribution through the mail and I gave him a call. He’s a medical laboratory scientist mostly doing the testing and diagnosing of patients for the Coronavirus! He was very happy to hear from me and told me that he’s been listening to a lot of Srila Prabhupada’s lectures and reading the Bhagavad Gita daily as well. He’s been taking the time in his life now to really understand the philosophy. I offered him a “Srimad Bhagavatam” set but he said he already has one so I offered him a “Chaitanya Charitamrita” set and he was very interested in getting it. I told him how Srila Prabhupada really liked the “Chaitanya Charitamrita”, how he carried it with him on the Jaladutta on his way to America and how he was getting comfort by reading Lord Chaitanya’s pastimes. I also explained to him how Srila Prabhupada wanted to make this knowledge available to everyone in the world.
