I was handing out an “On chanting Hare Krishna” pamphlet to a lady I just finished talking to because she didn’t take any books and this nice Indian gentleman was walking by and also wanted a pamphlet. I stopped him and asked him where he’s from and he said he’s from Udupi. I said wow that’s Madvacarya’s place and his famous deity Udupi Krishna! I explained to him that he has to please take a “Sapta” set with him because it’s Vasanta Panchami and Sarasvati puja and it’s a very auspicious time to offer a donation for his own spiritual benefit. He told me that he only has a $100 and I said: “well I guess, you could donate more with your credit card!” in a super nonchalant fashion. He smiled and gave me the $100 donation for the set so I also added the Lilamrita as an extra gift.
