Really nice high school student named Derek from Queens! His parents are from Guyana and he was born and raised in America. He remembers going to his grandfather’s house when he was growing up and seeing pictures of Krishna and different Hindu books. He always wondered what Hinduism was all about because his grandfather never taught him and his parents are Christians and only took him to church but never to temple. I told him how these books will clearly explain all of it to him by giving all the answers he’s looking for and he will learn a lot about how life works too. He told me he has a part time side job after school and he doesn’t make so much money but he really wants to give this donation for the books because he really wants to learn about this philosophy and his heritage. I told him that it’s the best gift he can get for himself because this knowledge isn’t taught in any school.
