Very sweet guy named Jay from the Philippines now living in New York. He was with his girlfriend who’s from Texas. He came up to me and asked what we’re doing here with the chanting and the books. I told him that we’re monks who distribute spiritual knowledge. Then I asked him if he likes to read and he answered that he loves to read so I showed him our “Sapta” set and explained that all these books open up the secrets of the self within, nature and the universe. He was very interested in getting the set but his girlfriend said: “Hold on” and abruptly pulled him to the side. She was trying convince him to take only one book and at one point I overheard him telling her that he needs these books. Supersoul was acting from within to really convince him to take the set. Then after a few minutes they came back and started asking me questions about each book in the set so they can choose one to take. I showed them each book separately and briefly explained each one then I showed him the set again and told him how it’s a lifetime investment and that he deserves the books. I also said that each book costs around $15-$20 then he said: “wow but it’s only $50 for all 7 books so I want the set!” His girlfriend walked away unhappy that he agreed to take the set but he didn’t leave, he stayed and gave the full donation and took the picture with me. Supersoul convinced him despite some strong opposition, it was very nice to see his determination.
