Sweet gentleman from Puerto Rico named Norberto.
I reached out to give a fist bump to someone passing by but they kept walking then Norberto was walking by and said: “don’t worry man I got you!”
So we started talking and he told me that he’s into meditation and spirituality and asked me if I’d heard of Paramahansa Yogananda. I told him: “yes I’ve heard of that guy but I’ve got the real guy right here and his name A.C.Bhaktivedanta swami Prabhupada, let me show you his books.” I showed him the “Sapta” set first then he mentioned that he had read “Autobiography of a Yogi” so I took out the “Prabhupada Lilamrita” and started to explain who Srila Prabhupada is and about his mission. I continued telling him that Srila Prabhupada presented and translated all these wonderful Vedic texts from Sanskrit into English then wrote the commentaries with the proper conclusions and understandings. He gave a generous donation and accepted both sets then he told me that he’s actually been looking for a Guru and he’s been reading all different kinds of spiritual books in his search. I told him that my Guru is coming to NYC and Norberto told me he’d love to hear from him so I’ll send him the schedule for the speaking engagements. Hopefully he will start reading Prabhupada’s books and he won’t be bewildered by all these other bogus philosophies out there.
