Real nice guy named Julien. He’s 19 years old and goes to a Jazz school here in New York City. He moved here from Los Angeles last year. He’s actually been appreciating the Harinam for some time whenever he goes to take the subway from Union square he stops and listens to the kirtan from a distance. I asked him why he didn’t stop to talk to us sooner! He was telling me that he’s recently getting into spiritual knowledge so I showed him our set and told him the books have all the spiritual knowledge he will ever need. I explained how the books expand our vision beyond the material world and cover topics like Karma, the soul and the Supersoul. He told me that he’s on a drug cleanse now mainly from weed and he really wants to be more spiritual. He wants to bring some instruments and join the Harinam for a few hours in the next few days. He wants to come visit our ashram for the Sunday feast too.
