Mahotsaha prabhu recalls:
Bhakta Hari met this nice Indian gentleman and asked him where he was from? He said he’s from Hyderabad and his name is Manohar! He showed him the “Bhagavad Gita as it is” and some of the pictures inside. The gentleman agreed to buy it and Bhakta Hari gave him some prasadam cookies. Then I gestured to him to show him a “Sapta” set as well. He told him that it was an encyclopedia of spiritual knowledge and then asked him how much he thinks it costs in the book store? He guessed $200 and then Hari said it costs only $50 to print, he was hesitating to take the books and then Bhakta Hari told him that these books have changed so many people’s lives! Then he pointed to me and told him that I used to be a computer science student at NYU but now I’m a monk. He called me over and then I started talking to the gentleman in Telugu and told him all about Balaji being the Lord of the seven hills and how it’s just once in a life that we would ask him to take a set. I was being politely insistent then he gave $80 and I put the Mahat tattva set in his hands. He said it’s too much to read but I asked him to read them before he dies. He laughed and gladly agreed and ended up giving another $21!
