Victoria really nice mother of two children was walking by the Harinam and stopped at the book table. Sadly one of the first things she told me was that her husband just asked for a divorce. She was in pain and almost in tears due to the shock of the news. I showed her our set and told her how these books will give her the proper knowledge to go beyond the bodily concept of life. I also advised her to regularly chant the “Hare Krishna” Maha mantra and pray for help. She chanted a few mantras with me after getting the books.
My realization is that only in this kind of Godless society can such a thing happen to a nice lady like her with two really young kids. One of them is just a baby! Krishna gave her the mercy and brought to the shelter of His holy name and Srila Prabhupada’s books.
She also bought me some fresh orange juice from one of the stands in the farmers market.
