She grew up as a Christian but when she turned 16 years old a friend of hers gave her Srila Prabhupada’s “Bhagavad Gita as it is” as a birthday gift.
She was so happy to see me and she said: “look what I was reading just now, it’s the Gita, 9th chapter.” She reads it everyday and listens to Kirtan. She wants to practice Bhakti yoga more seriously. I showed her our set and invited her to the Brooklyn Radha Govinda temple for Krishna Janmastami. She was so grateful, almost in tears for meeting the Harinam and receiving the books.
