Nice Indian lady who was walking around the park with her young son and daughter.
She stopped to watch the Harinam and took some pictures. So I approached her and told her that she looks like a responsible mother. She told me that her kids heard the chanting from down the street and asked her if it was one of the Hindu prayers. So she brought them over to hear the kirtan close up. She was saying that she’s on holiday here and that it’s nice to see a group chanting together in New York City. I showed her our set and she asked me how much people donate then I told her that no one had given a $100 yet today. So she took out her wallet and gave me a new $100 bill. I went to get the Lilamrita to give it to her also but she said it’s too much for her to carry. I asked her if I could take a picture with her and her kids but she didn’t want to. Either way she was a very nice and pious lady and took a “Sapta” back to India with her!
