Really cool guy. He had a lot of interesting tattoos and I complimented him and said they looked amazing. He also had a nice necklace of beads and he told me he chants mantras on them. We started talking and I showed him our set.
He’s from Brooklyn and he loves to skate. He’s a mentor who does a lot of fund raising for under privileged kids in different third world countries. They recently had a group go to Cuba, they donated sneakers for kids and built them a skate park to keep them off the streets.
He told me: “We need to bring spirituality to more people. I appreciate what you guys are doing but I’m feeling today is not the day for me to get these books.”
I answered him: “When is the right day? Just today they found a dead body in this park right over there. So you never know man!”
As soon as I said that his facial expression changed and he took the set.
