Gopal Champu recalls:
Tushar from Bangladesh πŸ‡§πŸ‡©
He looked mesmorized as he watched the Harinam. I approached him saying "Hare Krishna!, my name is Gopal I'm a monk from the Dominican Republic. He replied "really? That's interesting. I'm Tushar, I'm Hindu. This is my religion that you’re doing." I explained to him how the Bhagavad Gita had changed my life and that I appreciate his culture. I told him I had a special set of books to show him. He looked at the books with a morose face and said, "I would really like to read these, but I suffer from dyslexia and unfortunately I can hardly read πŸ™." So I told him the story of the Brahmana who was illiterate, and how he had received the instruction from his Guru to read the Bhagavad Gita. The Brahmana was sitting down one day with an upside down Bhagavad Gita in his hands and he was crying. Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu who's Krishna himself was walking by and inquired why he was crying. The Brahmana explained to Mahaprabhu the reason and said even though he could not read he was moved at how Krishna was acting as the chariot driver of Arjuna. Then Mahaprabhu told him: “you have actually understood the Bhagavad Gita."
Finally I said: "Tushar, even if you can't properly read these books, even if you just make a small effort to read them with a sincere heart Krishna will help you understand all of them." He thanked me repeatedly and gave a nice donation for the set!
